Lucky for you, here’s a list of some of my fave things in the city: • Hozugawa River Boat Ride (begins in Kameoka) • Kiyomizu-dera • Nanzen-ji (less crowded than other popular temples) • Arashiyama Bamboo Forest • Sagano Romantic Train (departing from Saga Torroko Station) • Bar Kohaku at Park Hyatt (need to be on the waitlist) • Gionmachi Minamigawa area (shopping) • Byodin (temple on the 10 yen coin) • Ninenzaka •
