Stay at home parents can (and should!!) have their own retirement accounts. If you are a SAHM or SAHD, legally married, and filing jointly on your taxes, look into the spousal IRA rules!! It allows you to legally contribute to your OWN Roth IRA which is a super valuable retirement accounts!
